Dave & Busters®

Last night Wes and Carol took us to one of our favorite places...Dave & Busters®. Their food is amazing and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. We all had a wonderful time playing games and watching the kids was even better. Elijah left D & B's with a Texas Rangers Helmet and Ava scored a peace sign pillow! Too bad we don't have one closer to home, because we would be there all of the time! D & B Rocks!!!!

Slip N Slide/Cars 2

The kids are having so much fun on our vacation. From the time they wake up, to the time they go to sleep, the are being entertained by their Aunt Carol and Uncle Wes. They bought the kids a slip n slide, so the kids have really enjoyed taking advantage of cold water on these HOT summer days! Elijah and Wes usually fish in the evenings in their backyard, but the pond is not up to par this year, so they have been playing catch instead. Ava and Carol are having a lot of "girl" time. They are painting nails, putting on make-up, and having a lot of girl talk.
We also took the kids the other day to watch Cars 2 and they loved it! It was such a cute movie! Enjoy the pictures of our week!

Visit with Keith

Keith (Wes and Carol's nephew) and I go way back. We've spent many summers together and share many great memories. Now, Manuel and the kids have grown to love Keith too! Elijah and Ava are stuck to him like glue when we are all together. Elijah loves playing catch with Keith, and this year Ava was mesmerized by Keith's girlfriend, Stephanie. Maybe one day Keith will visit California so we can show him some California fun!

LifeChurch

Every July, LifeChurch (Wes and Carol's home church) start a new series called At the Movies. This year their theme was Western and they had their church decked out in Western! From the Groeschel Jail to the live mules in the back, you name it, they had it! Their pastor, Craig Groeschel does an outstanding job explaining life lessons out of each movie clip he picks. Their Praise and worship band is led by the lead vocalist from Pillar, Rob Beckley. The kids also had a great time in LifeKids classes. We look forward to this series every year and it is such a pleasure to be a part of such a great church even when we are on vacation!

Tulsa Drillers

On Friday night we went to the Tulsa Drillers AA baseball game. This is a tradition that we have done every year since we have been coming to visit the Reynold's family. Unfortunately, they lost, but we still had a great time! They have a very neat kids area, so the kids spent the majority of the time sliding down the slides, hitting balls, and jumping in the bounce houses. Last year, Ava got scared at the top of the slide and had to have Elijah go and slide down with her. This year, she was a pro! Actually, we couldn't get her to come down! What a fun night!
